By ADDIE TEMPLETON — As the last bell of midnight tolls New Year’s Eve, everyone feels optimistic about what lies ahead.
So far, 2020 hasn’t been so great.
Not only is almost the entire world is shut down due to COVID 19 but there have also been other disasters throughout the world.
On January 1, Indonesia was flooded. Africa was invaded by locusts on January 22. Magma was found flowing through Yellowstone National Park’s supervolcano, which hasn’t erupted for 2.1 million years.
In the Caribbean, earthquakes struck on Jan. 28. It was a powerful magnitude 7.7 earthquake. Luckily, there were no reported casualties.
Wildfires in Australia that began in 2019 finally as a result of drought sating to 2017 continued to rage, finally ended in March.
On April 12, tornadoes ripped apart the South. It lasted till early morning on April 13. More than one hundred tornadoes touched down in this period of time.
This time is hard for everybody in the world, but yes, things could be worse.
